‘Hunting Shapeshifters’ – the search for Proteas in the mountains of South Africa’ looks at the history, ecology and conservation of this enigmatic, ancient family of plants and Robbie’s unusual mission to understand and protect them. It takes us high into the mountains of South Africa where Robbie’s exploration, in collaboration with South African authorities and botanical institutions, has enabled him to bring numerous species, some never previously cultivated, into ex-situ conservation.
